November Update
For our December newsletter, we felt compelled to share an excerpt of one of our teacher's faith journey and how Jesus has come into her life. Below there is a link to a PDF where you can read her whole testimony. It is powerfully moving.
"...My husband is beat me. My mother-in-law beat me. My sister-in-law came to my house and said like this you go to your mother's house, we want to do other marriage with other girl. Because she will bring dowry (more money) after my delivery I am facing many problems. Because I gave birth to a girl thats why I am suffering more than before. At lastly my mother-in-law, my husband and sister-in-law, they put fire on my hut. I am alone with my daughter in that hut at night time, midnight - 2 o'clock, at that time my daughter was 2 months old..."
"...oh God your a father of every human being. You have kind hearted. If I make mistake, you don't want to punish me. Instead of punishment, he gave me eternal life. I believe that God is only God, no other Gods. Take my life for God's love. Everybody should follow God's rules. He is holy. He is everything..."
WE NEED DESKS!!!
Instead of buying that Christmas sweater for that relative who will only wear it once a year, buying 2 more pairs of socks for your Dad that will be lost by next Friday or buying your wife another outfit, we would love for you to help buy desks for our kids at Opportunity Foundation India!
Let us explain a little bit. These are not just any ordinary desks, these are desks that will enable kids to have a future through the education they are receiving at Opportunity Foundation. Education is pivotal in eradicating poverty, allowing children to be empowered through education breaks the perpetual cycle of poverty that millions of Indians encounter daily. Education enables these kids to take charge of their future rather than be victims of it.
We want your help in giving education this Christmas season. Please join us in providing our students education this December.
